For those who live next door to a short-term rental, the concerns are very real. But many, like Mike Polston, who lives across from a Type 2 STR, would argue that everyone needs to be paying attention to these conversations because you could find yourself next to a “problem property” in the future as well.

But Polston says the problem is about more than partying, “If I wanted to sell my property, with this across the street, I’m fairly sure I wouldn’t get market value for my property.”
